Game Mechanics

BASIC MECHANICS:

VENTS

Some Toy Zombies can get into the vents, there are only 5 of them that can do it, and 2 of them are Mini versions of the originals, these inside the vents can kill you without problems.

MOVEMENT

Some Toy Zombies are too fast; however, you can use their scattering mechanic to your advantage, because if you keep the faster one behind the slower one, the faster one will try to find another path to avoid colliding with the Toy Zombie that is in front of it.

STALK

If your flashlight is off, there are likely to be stalkers around corners. When they are in this state, they will illuminate their faces. Flash them before they come out of that state and chase you.

CHASE

TThe key to escaping a chase is to lose them. Find a wall or somewhere they can't see you, and release the Sprint button to stop yelling. This will greatly increase the chances of them breaking free from that state. However, doing this too close to them won't save you. Hiding in lockers or any other kind of hiding place won't work in this state.

VISION

When they spot you and then lose sight of you, they investigate the area to find out where you might be hiding. After this, they'll return to their random patrol mode. Another thing about their vision is that they can see you if you're very close to them (even with your flashlight off, so be very careful if you approach one).

AWARENESS

They are extremely sensitive to noise, you can throw objects and use them as a distraction, or you can turn on the flashlight to call them to the place you want them to go.

GAMEPLAY:

FLASHLIGHT

Since the shopping center is quite dark, it's always best to keep your flashlight on. Keeping it off will attract stalkers, but turning it on will make noise and make you easier to spot. So you need to find a balance between keeping your flashlight on and off.

ADRENALINE

Every 5 seconds you keep running, your character will enter adrenaline mode, giving you a speed boost. However, this causes you to make an extremely loud noise.

RUNNING STEALTHILY

You can run stealthily if you keep your flashlight off while running, but if you're in adrenaline mode it doesn't matter if your flashlight is off, you'll make noise anyway.

HUD

NOISE HUD

This part of the HUD will tell you which direction the closest Toy Zombie is, the closer it is, the more opaque it becomes.

SOUND HUD

This part of the HUD indicates how much sound you are making: -Level 1: Minimum, only MouseMask can hear you. -Level 2: Enemies can now get an idea of where you are and will look for possible hiding places where you might be. -Level 3: They can now know your location. Note: When the HUD turns red, it means you are being chased.

HOURS

SAVE ERIC

MouseMask

Each time you approach them, you'll have the opportunity to save him. Don't miss them, because if you don't activate one at the right hour, Eric will die.

MINIGAMES

They are usually near the access card once you pass the Hour. Note: They only work in order. If you skip one, the rest will be out of service.
